Still Living

Alex and I made it to New Jersey! I can't believe that we are actually here! The traveling took us about two and a half days, but we got through it. We had fun in the car ride, but I must say it was quite a bit longer than I had anticipated! The first night we stayed in Omaha, so we made it far on our first day of driving! The first two days we drove about a total of 16 hours each day! We went far so that on the third day (Saturday) we could arrive and have some time to run to the store and get situated. We are absolutely loving our apartment. Aside from a stressful week of training and disorganization (which has not been our fault!) I think we are finally starting to pull things together. We finally got internet today, so Alex and I immediately got onto blogging so we don't forget some great memories. Along with internet, we were able to load Netflix to our tv using Alex's Wii. We are excited to watch movies and hang out! Once we got here we went straight to Wal-Mart and Ikea. We had to get cleaning supplies and a few decorations to make our apartment a little more 'homey' feeling. Here are some pics...

We were sad to say goodbye to McCall!
Getting ready to leave with our car fully loaded!
When we looked up and saw this we literally thought we were getting in a head on...but don't worry we're fine. It was just getting towed by another diesel
We stopped in Chicago, and fell in love with it! It gives you the city feeling with less traffic, and way cleaner streets!
I believe this is called the Charles River. It flows right through Chicago, and its so cute!
Eating Chicago deep dish pizza! It was soo good!

I probably shouldn't post this on my blog, but I have to because of how hilarious I think it is! We put grapes in our lips, and we were laughing SO hard that tears were coming out! haha
Alex and I decided that we are SO stupid together! haha we locked ourself our of our apartment within the first thirty minutes of arriving there! We didn't understand that our front door locked when we walked outside. Luckily a window was open on the side of the apt. and we were able to squeeze in! LOL

Our first real grocery shopping list. It was soo massive! We won't be going hungry, that's for sure!
Our apartment is 30 minutes away from NYC so on Monday evening we took a train and did some shopping and eating!

 On the train

Alex, Breelyne, and I ate at a restaurant called Max Brenner. It's truly like Willy Wonka came to life! The brown tubes on the ceiling have chocolate flowing through them! The food and desert was soo good! Alex and I got a burger to share, then a waffle banana split. It was to DIE for! We also got a hot chocolate, and it tasted like we were drinking the best chocolate bar in the world! People have to try it for themselves to really understand! haha I definitely recommend this to anyone who might attend NYC! After eating we went shopping. Some of the stores we hit up were Forever 21, H&M (loved!), and some shoes stores.
The three of us leaving NYC. It will be seeing more of us soon!

We are having such a wonderful experience that we will enjoy for the rest of our lives! It hasn't even been a week, and I can feel that it's going to be a great summer. Some of the sales guys have come to our apartment to play the Wii and hang out. Luckily the guys are cool, so that will make our summer that much better! More pics are to come of our apartment, etc.
